Emily Stanford
Emily Stanford was born in Africa. A move to England as a child coincided with Emily’s awakening passion for children’s literature. Alongside the many books she read her imagination and her passion for word-craft was cultivated by living in an old cottage in the middle of a field, down Thanksgiving Lane. Like Elin in Elin’s Air, she experienced a spiritual awakening in her teens. Music has always been part of the air that Emily breathes. She graduated from the University of Wales, Bangor with a degree and a music-loving husband. Her love of creative communication led her to home educate her four children and to continually explore communication through different mediums. Through her writing, Emily strives to educate by provoking imagination. She hopes to bring appreciation of the British countryside, culture and social history, to celebrate word-craft and expose wisdom and knowledge.Author
